Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, Elephants, leopards, buffalo, the critically endangered Abbot's duiker, other tiny antelopes, and monkeys can all be found in the national park's woodlands, which begin at a height of 2,700 metres. Even this last remnant of vegetation eventually gives way to a wonderland of ice and snow - the roof of the African continent - above 4,000 metres, where only a few hardy mosses and lichen survive.

The locals, the Wachagga, are unaware of the name of the entire massif; all they are aware of is Kibo, the familiar snowy peak that menacingly watches over them.

 With its breathtaking views and diverse flora and fauna, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is an excellent destination for hikers, climbers, and nature enthusiasts alike.

In addition to hiking and climbing, the park also offers other exciting activities, including bird watching, wildlife safaris, and cultural tours to local villages.

We recommend that you plan your visit between January and February, or between June and October, when the weather is usually dry and pleasant. However, the park is open year-round, so you can plan your trip according to your schedule.
