Four national parks make up the "Northern Circuit": Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, and, most notably, the Serengeti.

Since Lake Manyara and Tarangire are conveniently situated close to Arusha, the beginning point for many trips, they are frequently included in safari itineraries. At the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is located, whereas Tarangire, with its grasslands and floodplains, is to the southeast.

Tanzania's southern circuit has a lot to offer. You can choose to go the Selous Wildlife Reserve, which is the largest game reserve in Africa, or you can visit the largest national park in Tanzania and the second largest in all of Africa on this circuit. Additionally, Mikumi National Park is the closest national park to Dar es Salaam and offers plenty to see. It is open all year long and you can combine Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa Mountain National Park if you enjoy hiking.
